A Level Mathematics provides a thorough grounding in mathematical concepts, methods and problem-solving techniques. The course develops confidence in mathematical reasoning and the ability to apply mathematical skills to a wide range of problems both abstract and applied in statistics, mechanics and pure mathematics.
Students explore pure mathematics including calculus, algebra, coordinate geometry, trigonometry and vectors; probability and statistics; and mechanics. The course is structured to allow schools to offer the full A Level across all strands or to focus on particular combinations depending on the needs of their students.
Cambridge International A Level Mathematics is internationally recognised as an outstanding qualification for university entry in mathematics, engineering, science, economics, computing and any discipline requiring strong quantitative reasoning.
