Cambridge International AS & A Level Economics (9708) provides students with a deep understanding of economic theory and its application to real-world issues. Students develop the ability to analyse economic problems using relevant concepts and principles, evaluate evidence critically, and construct coherent and well-reasoned economic arguments.
The course covers both microeconomics and macroeconomics, from the mechanics of markets and consumer behaviour to national income determination, monetary policy and international trade. Students learn to interpret data, construct diagrams and write evaluative essays — skills that are directly transferable to higher education and a wide range of professions.
Cambridge International A Level Economics provides an excellent foundation for university study in economics, business, finance, politics, development studies and related social sciences.
