Cambridge Lower Secondary English (0861) is for learners who have English as a first language. It can be used in any cultural context and encourages lifelong enthusiasm for reading, writing and spoken communication.

The course equips students with transferable language skills for interrogating and producing spoken or written texts and working collaboratively. It also develops confidence, creativity and intellectual engagement.

The curriculum covers three strands: Reading, Writing, and Speaking and Listening — across three stages (7, 8 and 9).
